Example

81a161cb3ff0000000000000
Example comparing a 27-byte JSON object with its 18-byte MessagePack representation.

MessagePack is a binary serialization format for exchanging data between languages. Small integers use a single byte, and short strings add little overhead. Size and speed depend on the data and implementation.

{"compact":true,"schema":0}

In this example, the JSON representation uses 27 bytes and MessagePack uses 18 bytes.

Binary MessagePack is not directly readable as text. This tool represents its bytes as hexadecimal. See also Hex encoding .
